Jonathan Dickins' September Song

July 9, 2025

Jonathan Dickins’ September Management—which helped turn Adele into a global superstar—is on a roll, having picked up Spanish phenomenon ROSALÍA earlier this year.

The artist-songwriter is making progress on her next Columbia album, the follow-up to her 2022 release, Latin Grammy Album of the Year MOTOMAMI. The new set is expected before the end of the year, and ROSALÍA will embark on an arena tour in 2026.

September, which is headquartered in the U.K. and has offices in the U.S. (with a 30-strong team overall), is also home to Glass Animals, Rex Orange County, Little Simz and Beach House, as well as marquee producers Rick Rubin and Paul Epworth and Grammy-winning engineer Tom Elmhirst.

The company's small but potent staff includes Rose Moon (September’s first employee and Dickins’ amanuensis for all things Adele and Simz), Katy Dickson, Amy Morgan, Amelia Scivier, Hamish Harris and Jason Foster.

September has also acquired a stake in Frame Artists, co-founded by Sophie Kennard and Becci Abbot Black. The EDM-oriented shop, which reps DJs in addition to artists, counts among its clients chart-toppers Stormzy and Chase & Status, who recently concluded a sold-out U.K. tour and will headline the 50k-cap Victoria Park next month.

An amiable Brit, Dickins comes from a family that is deeply rooted in the biz. His grandfather Percy Dickins cofounded NME and created the U.K.’s singles chart. His father, Barry, is a legendary live-music agent and co-founder of ITB. Uncle Rob was the chairman of Warner Brothers U.K., and sister Lucy is global head of contemporary music and touring at WME and Adele’s agent.

After briefly toiling at other people’s record companies, Dickins set up his own indie label, Showbiz Recordings, in the early 2000s, scoring with M.I.A., trailblazer Punjabi MC and I Monster. He pivoted to management in 2003, helping secure M.I.A. a deal with XL Recordings, and founded September Management in 2006 out of a loft in his home, signing Adele shortly thereafter. The rest, as they say, is history.
