What was the first concert you ever attended?
The one that had the most lasting impact was seeing the Grateful Dead in Roanoke, Virginia, as a teenager. It’s a true pinch-me moment to now serve on a team of custodians of that legacy.
What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?
We’re not just managing careers; we’re building ecosystems. That means shaping narrative, messaging and voices and ensuring that every touchpoint, from a media impression to a social post, reflects who the artist is and where they’re going. Artist development now requires deep intentionality, especially in a culture that prioritizes speed, frequency and virality over depth and longevity. We’re not just asking “What’s the story?” but “What’s the strategy behind it?”
