Spooktacular Spot Check: All Hallows' Eve Edition (Update)

October 31, 2026

Before we put on our Halloween costume—we’re dressing up as a trade-rag loser who works at home in sweatpants and mismatched socks—let’s have a look at some of the new pop action at Spotify.

Gracie Abrams’ new single, “Here You Come, There You Go” (Interscope), comes in at #40 U.S. You can catch her on SNL tonight.

Megan Thee Stallion gallops up 131 spots to #59 U.S. with “Thin Ice” (on the Interscope-distribbed Hot Girl Productions). That track appears on the three-track release Tina Tuesday Freestyles, which resembles what we used to call a maxi-single.

Having released HOW TO QUIT SMOKING (Columbia), Dominic Fike sees his “White Keys” plink back to #119 U.S., while his new “Casting Call” auditions at #138.

Speaking of Dominic Fike, his song “Babydoll” actually has nothing to do with Jamie Miller’s “Babydoll,” which has reached a plush new peak of #12 on the global chart. You can always count on us for this sort of disambiguation. If we’re not too stoned.

“Housewife” by RCA’s Tate McRae is so huge that it’s #1 U.S. on Halloween. Otherwise, the Spot is creepin’ it real. Spooky season is in full effect on the DSP, with the boo-sual suspects mixed in with some boo-comers. (OK, we’ll pump[kin] the brakes on the ghoulish puns.)

Michael Jackson’s deathless “Thriller” (Epic) is #2 on today’s Spot U.S., shadowed by the inevitable “Monster Mash” as performed by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers (UMe) at #3. Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” (Arista/Legacy) ain’t afraid of no #4, and “This Is Halloween” (Walt Disney) by The Citizens of Halloween (aka Danny Elfman) haunts the #7 spot.

“Spooky Scary Skeletons,” by Andrew Gold (of “Thank You for Being a Friend” fame), articulates itself at #9, while Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” (Uni/Motown) stalks the #10 perch. Tame Impala’s new seasonal classic, “Dracula,” sinks its fangs into the Top 25.

Your loyal hack-o-lanterns wish a safe night of trick-or-treating and/or costumed binge drinking to all who celebrate.

And now, for your Halloween delectation, here’s baby Lily dressed as Groucho.
